2020 Summer Camp Session Cancelled
Just typing out the title to this post is hard. It is with a great deal of sadness that I'm writing to inform you of the cancellation of our 2020 summer camp program.
We spent the last few months in constant communication with the university and monitoring the state, federal, and CDC guidelines. We were working diligently on protocols to help us modify our experience this summer to ensure the safety of our campers. Due to the uncertainty of the virus and safety for the campers and staff the decision was made by UCSB to cancel all summer programs.
We want to thank all of our parents who had signed up. We appreciate all of your support and can't thank you enough for believing in us to deliver an amazing summer camp experience. We look forward to working with returning and new campers in 2021.
As promised, we will be issuing full refunds to all of our camper families.
While this may be a pause on the Camp New Heights story, it is most certainly not the end. We will continue to build programs that empower our campers to take intrinsic ownership of their health and wellness. We will never remain idle in our philosophy or approach to give the best experience to our campers. It just happens that this year, the best and safest experience is for our campers to stay home.
